Yoga teacher

My Story

Yoga is a huge part of my life, a real anchor - physically, mentally, and spiritually. Yoga is what I do and what I live by, every single day; what I practice, on and off the mat; what I breathe.

After many years studying the physical and philosophical aspects of yoga, I graduated as a yoga teacher with the YMCA in 2017 and have been teaching regularly ever since. My training was centred on a deep understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the human body. Always a student, I regularly attend classes and workshops. In 2019 I studied at Triyoga with the wonderful Mark Stephens, who encouraged my love for the creative and logical aspects of sequencing, and in 2020 I trained in Yin Yoga.

My signature style is a strong, focused flow where body and mind dance together guided by the breath towards a moving meditation. My sequences can sometimes be challenging and I use refinements to focus the mind.

I am passionate about both the benefits of exercise and the miracles that can be achieved through incorporating mindfulness and meditation in our daily lives. In each class, my aim is to take my students on a journey, be it towards touching their toes for maybe the first time and simply ‘stretching in Sanskrit’, or towards catching a glimpse of their innermost self in an intense, mindful experience. Above all, I teach from the heart, and believe that my job as a yoga teacher consists in sharing all I know and to offer a practice that is safe, informed, effective, sustainable, beautiful and transformative.

Come and meet me on the mat and together let’s allow yoga to work its magic.
